An Insight into the Completion of the BPS Independent route: Qualification in Forensic Psychology (Stage II)Book Now
Date: 13th May 2021, 10am to 3pm GMT/UK time
This online webinar provides the opportunity for individuals enrolled, or thinking about enrolling, on the BPS Qualification in Forensic Psychology (QFP), to gain an insight into the journey to becoming a Forensic Psychologist via the BPS independent route. The webinar will include reflections on completing the QFP from a personal perspective, as well as outlining useful hints and tips relating to each of the four core roles:
CR1: conducting psychological applications and interventions
CR3: communicating psychological knowledge and advice to other professionals
CR4: training other professionals in psychological skills and knowledge
Approaches that enable the successful undertaking of the QFP will be discussed. This will include skills and strategies that may be beneficial in progressing towards Chartership and professional practice as a Forensic Psychologist. Specifically, it aims to:
- Encourage trainees to get the most out of the clinical supervision process.
- Enhance understanding of the process of reflection, with discussion of the evidence base underpinning this.
- Provide useful hints and tips for progressing towards submission and completion of each of the four core roles.
- Provide psychoeducation relating to maintaining psychological wellbeing and cultivating a work-life balance whilst completing the QFP.
- Enable an opportunity for attendees to connect with fellow Forensic Psychologists in Training (FPiT).
