21st February 2023, 9.30am - 4.30pm (UK Time)
This is an interactive training event focusing on the importance of psychological formulation and risk scenarios, following the completion of risk assessments for forensic clients. This event will utilise case studies to consider the role of formulation and how it can be applied, with the further application of risk scenarios. Various case studies will be used, focusing on general aggression and sexual harm.
The aim is to allow space for delegates to formulate such case studies, as well as to consider other core risk considerations that may arise, such as unresolved trauma, that may be functionally related to a clients offending, and how this may then shape the care pathway for the client.
The training commences by 9:30am and ends by 4:30pm.
Dr Carol A. Ireland is a Consultant Forensic Psychologist and Chartered Scientist. She is also a Reader in Aggression. She has over 24 years clinical practice, with a core focus being aggression and sexual offending, working with complex presentations. All materials for the event will be provided prior to the event. A CPD certificate will also be provided.
