Date
11th - 12th January 2024, 9.30am - 4.30pm UK timeCourse Summary
This training focuses on the the application of DSM-5 diagnoses using the SCID-5-CV. This is a diagnostic interview that captures diagnoses considered most commonly seen in clinical settings, such as:
- Depressive and bipolar disorders;
- Schizophrenia spectrum and other psychotic disorders;
- Substance use disorders;
- Anxiety disorders (e.g. panic disorder, agoraphobia);
- Obsessive-compulsive disorder;
- PTSD.
It also includes screening questions for additional DSM-5 disorders. It does not cover dissociative disorder or personality disorder, which are covered by other versions of the SCID not captured by the SCID-5-CV.
Delegates will be trained in the use of and administration of the SCID-5-CV using sample diagnoses (i.e. PTSD, depression, psychosis, anxiety) to demonstrate how the interview is applied. The training will comprise case material and the scoring of clinical videos.
The cost includes provision of handouts, reading material and CPD certificate. A copy of the SCID-5-CV interview is required and this will be posted to delegates prior to the course. For this reason bookings can only be taken up to the 8th January 2024 for UK delegates and 21st December 2023 for international.
There are limited places on this course. Please email tiofp@tiofp.com for more information.
The training commences at 9:30am and ends by 4:30pm, UK time, on each day.
