Date

29th - 30th March 2023, 9.30am - 4.30pm (UK time)

Course Summary

This training focuses on understanding the nature and development of personality disorder, before progressing on to the assessment of personality disorder. Focus will be on the IPDE (International Personality Disorder Examination) for making DSM-5 categorical diagnoses. This is considered a gold standard means of assessing personality disorder.

The Alternative Model to Assessing Personality Disorder outlined in the new DSM-5 will be presented, along with the changes to ICD-11 and how to incorporate these. Attendees will score IPDE clinical video interviews and formulate using personality functioning and ICD-11. Please note that the training does not cover treatment, focusing instead on diagnosis.

The cost includes provision of handouts, reading material and CPD certificate. There are limited places on this course.

To attend the event you must have access to an IPDE manual, so that you can complete ratings. We wil be using the DSM part of the manual. You can purchase the manual from https://www.annarbor.co.uk/. TIOFP is not a distributor for the manual and so we cannot provide this for you. You may want to consider purchasing the manual and rating sheets (DSM versions) for your future use but for the training event you just require access to the manual.

The training commences at 9:30am and ends by 4:30pm on each day.
